During our recent stay at the Terrazzino, my family and I enjoyed a delightful vacation in central Florence, which was accessible with ease even for our younger children, aged 5 and 9. The warm welcome from our host, Mauro, set a positive tone for our trip. He offered invaluable recommendations for local trattorias and coffee spots, steering us away from the typical tourist traps. The location proved advantageous; While it took us a 30-minute stroll to reach attractions like the Boboli Gardens and Ponte Vecchio, we valued the fresh air and scenic views. The apartment was clean, and the building presented a charming atmosphere, although we did encounter steep steps to reach our rooms. One aspect to keep in mind is the city's tourist tax, which can add a noticeable sum to your family's expenses.
